Godsmark Architecture was formed in 2001. The aim of the practice is to provide a personal service for clients and to produce modern architecture of the highest design and technical standards. We have a strong interest in the architecture of the 20th century modern movement and how it might integrate in existing and historic contexts and also in architectural theory. Both of these elements inform our approach to design and this is combined with a pragmatic approach to integrating with the project’s context. As well as new build we have a strong track record of working on old and listed buildings.

We are committed to the involvement of clients and end users in the design process and seek to tailor our work to the needs of the community at large.

We always approach projects analytically as we find that background research leads to developing the most appropriate solutions both in design terms and technically. We look at the site and programme holistically to find the appropriate solution whether it be contextual or an object building.
